We need your help to continue offering a variety of activities on a regular basis. If you enjoy meeting new people and have an organizing spirit (or would like to develop one!), why not join our team?
Newcomers are just as welcome as long-time Chouettes: your experience, as well as your fresh perspective, will be valued on the team.
To join our team of organizers, we ask that you:
- join our communication platform (Heylo) for organizers.
- support the mission of Les Chouettes;
- commit to following our Code of Conduct;
- complete the form below;
- read the Organizer Guide, which will be provided to you afterward;
If you haven’t already, we also encourage you to participate in at least one Les Chouettes activity to discover the spirit of the group and get to know participants and organizers.
What does the role of an organizer involve?
Being an organizer means helping bring Les Chouettes to life, at your own pace and according to your availability. In practice, this means coming up with an activity idea, posting it on Meetup or Heylo, managing registrations, and then taking part in it… and enjoying it with other Chouettes! There is no required number of activities to organize — every contribution is appreciated.

Whether you’d like to organize activities for all ages, contribute to 18–35 activities, or host happy hours, every contribution is welcome. You can get involved in one or several areas, depending on your interests and availability!
Organizing activities for all ages
Do you enjoy the outdoors, cultural activities, food discoveries, or social outings? Let your ideas flow! As a general activities organizer, you can suggest activities that bring together Chouettes of all ages and reflect your own interests.
Contributing to 18–35 activities
Would you like to help create more connections among Chouettes aged 18 to 35? The 18–35 committee was created to offer opportunities for this age group to meet and encourage their participation in activities. By joining this initiative, you’ll help this wonderful community continue to grow.
Organizing happy hours
Happy hours are a great opportunity to meet in a relaxed atmosphere. Organizers choose a location, create the event, welcome participants, and help ensure everyone feels included.
This may include:
- introducing new participants to others;
- telling them about the different activities offered by Les Chouettes;
- answering their questions;
- helping conversations flow and connections form.

What can help you in your role as an organizer
We are looking for people who:
- enjoy building connections and chatting with others;
- are open-minded, good listeners, and diplomatic;
- have good planning and organizational skills;
- manage their time well and meet activity submission deadlines;
- can adapt to changes and unexpected situations related to organizing activities;
- enjoy working as part of a team;
- are responsive on the organizers’ communication platform;
- can communicate in French and English, or is willing to co-host activities with someone who can.
Good to know
If your application is selected, you will receive the Les Chouettes Organizer Guide, which outlines organizers’ roles and responsibilities as well as important information to help you get started.
For your first activity, another organizer can accompany you to provide support and answer your questions. If that is not possible, we will of course remain available to help you before or after your activities, and a meeting can be arranged if needed to discuss any questions.
